China's first domestically made large cruise ship, Adora Magic City, marks a major milestone for the country's shipbuilding industry.
The 135,500-gross-ton jumbo ship can accommodate a maximum of 5,246 passengers in its 2,125 guest rooms, who will be served by 1,292 crew members from around the world.
It is also equipped with a 16-story, 40,000-square-meter living and entertainment public area, known as a “modern city on the sea”.
The ship consists of 107 systems, 55,000 sets of equipment, 25 million components and parts, 4,750 kilometers of cables, 365 km of pipelines and 120 km of air pipes.
The ship was built by China State Shipbuilding Corp's Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co.
